The goal was to help them begin their journey toward patient safety and quality care by providing a simple, scalable framework for improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its inception, the program has successfully onboarded over 13,000 healthcare institutions, including clinics, private hospitals, SHCOs (Small Healthcare Organizations), and even teaching hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite rising costs and inflationary pressures, NABH had kept the program&#8217;s fee structure unchanged for over 11 years. With the recent rationalization, the board aims to make the program more sustainable, while keeping the interests of smaller hospitals in focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Rationalised_Fee_Structure_Effective_June_01_2025\"><\/span>A. Larger Hospitals To Transition Towards Advanced Accreditation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hospitals with more than 300 beds are generally equipped to manage higher operational complexity and are thus encouraged to transition to NABH\u2019s Hospital Accreditation Program starting October 01, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Who_Still_Qualifies_for_HOPE_Post-Oct_2026\"><\/span>Who Still Qualifies for HOPE Post-Oct 2026?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Only the following exceptions will be considered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Newly commissioned hospitals (post-October 1, 2026) \u2013 for one HOPE cycle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government-owned hospitals \u2013 irrespective of their commissioning date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To support this transition, NABH will deploy a dedicated transition support team to guide hospitals towards advanced accreditation with minimal disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_New_Complimentary_Certifications_Digital_Push\"><\/span>3. New Complimentary Certifications &amp; Digital Push<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a part of its drive to encourage sustainability and digital adoption in healthcare, NABH has introduced two new certifications, available free of cost (till September 30, 2025) to HOPE-certified institutions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Self-Certification_in_Climate_Change_Resilience_Sustainability\"><\/span>1. Self-Certification in Climate Change Resilience &amp; Sustainability<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Encouraging hospitals to adopt eco-friendly practices and long-term sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_DHS_Digital_Health_Standards_Silver_Certification\"><\/span>2. DHS (Digital Health Standards) Silver Certification<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The first 300 hospitals to apply will receive a 50% subsidy on the certification fee \u2014 a major boost for institutions embracing digital health standards early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These initiatives reinforce NABH\u2019s commitment to aligning Indian healthcare practices with global trends and goals such as environmental sustainability and digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"D_Value-Added_Services_For_Small_And_Mid-sized_Hospitals\"><\/span>D. Value-Added Services For Small And Mid-sized Hospitals<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To enhance value and ease of implementation, NABH is rolling out a suite of value-added services specifically for HOPE applicants and small healthcare providers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Virtual Assessments for facilities with up to 5 beds \u2014 minimizing travel and logistical costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimized Assessor Man-days \u2014 streamlining the certification process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free access to Entry Level Standards for Hospitals and SHCOs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Downloadable templates of commonly used forms to reduce the documentation burden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI-powered Chatbot (in development) to assist with real-time support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular training workshops for better preparation and understanding of the process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The NABH\u2019s revised certification framework is a timely upgrade\u2014a move that modernizes quality assurance while being mindful of hospital capacities.
